The "Printer was offline" error status indicates that the printer was unreachable at the time of the affected print order being submitted.
Error:
When a printer appears as offline in the Princh Administration Panel, it means that while the printer was once successfully connected to the Princh system, it is currently unable to communicate. This situation most commonly arises when the printer's IP address is not accessible on the local network. If you're encountering this issue with your Princh printer(s), please refer to the solutions outlined below.
Solution:
- Make sure there are no errors occurring at the printer. Check the printer panel- and status in the Princh Administration Panel:
- Ensure the affected printer is turned on, connected to the internet, and that no error messages are displayed on the printer panel.
- If the printer still remains listed as "offline" in the Princh Administration Panel, we recommend rebooting the printer to resolve the issue.
- If the issue persists following a printer reboot, we suggest also restarting the Princh Cloud Connector from the Princh Administration Panel.
- If none of the solutions provided above works, we recommend:
- Ensure that the printer has the same IP-address, and that it is set to have a static IP-address.
- Double check that it matches the IP-address used in the Princh Administration Panel.
- Ensure that the printer IP-address is reachable from the print server.
- Attempt to ping the IP-address directly from the print server to ensure that the IP-address is reachable.
- Ensure that IP-filtering or authentication hasn't been enabled through the printer settings.
