Password protected files, what should I do?

Trying to print a document with password protection will send the document straight to status 'Error' in Princh.

Error:
If a document is protected with a password or otherwise encrypted, Princh will be unable to print it, because the document contents are inaccessible. The print job will go straight to 'Error' and the user will not be charged for the print attempt.

Solution:

In order to print the document, you will need to remove the additional protection. We recommend trying one of the following options:

  • Remove the password protection or encryption in your preferred PDF editor and then resend your print job.
  • Capture screenshots of the document and reprint the captured screenshot instead of the original document.
