If your print-jobs go directly to "Error", it is most likely because of a local problem at the printer, or a network related problem at the library.
Error / Reason:
When you or the patrons are trying to make a print, the print jobs status is going directly "Error", and no print jobs are being printed.
- Always start out by restarting the printer that is having this problem. On rare occasions this might do the trick.
- Restart Google Cloud Print connector on the printer server by following the guide below.
Be aware that the service could look like it is running, even though it isn't, so give it a restart no matter what it shows.
To restart Google Cloud Print do the following:
Open up the Google Cloud Print Connector. There should be an icon on the desktop where it was installed. If that's not the case, then search for it in Windows.
When Google Cloud Print is open go ahead and click on the "STOP" button. Once you do this, you will also see that the status goes from "running" to "stopped".
Now click "START" to start Google Cloud Print again. It should now have been restarted.
Check to make sure that you can print again.
